Medical information

Ask Remedy provides information and support tools. It does not replace advice from a doctor, pharmacist, nurse or other appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

Unless we expressly state otherwise, information provided through Ask Remedy is for general informational and educational purposes, does not constitute a diagnosis, prescription or individual medical advice, should not be used as the sole basis for making decisions about treatment, may not take account of your complete medical history, examination findings or personal circumstances, and should be checked with an appropriately qualified healthcare professional where necessary.

Do not start, stop or change the dose or timing of a prescribed medicine solely because of information provided through Ask Remedy. Always follow the instructions given by your prescriber, pharmacist and the information supplied with your medicine.

Some Ask Remedy features may use automated systems, including artificial intelligence, to organise, summarise or present information. Automated outputs can sometimes be incomplete, inaccurate or inappropriate for your particular circumstances. You should use your own judgement and seek professional advice before acting on information that could affect your health or medication. Where Ask Remedy identifies that professional or urgent support may be appropriate, you should follow the escalation instructions provided.

Accuracy and availability

We take reasonable steps to provide a reliable and useful service. However, medicines information and professional guidance can change, availability may occasionally be interrupted, particular features may be changed, tested or withdrawn, and no online service can be guaranteed to be entirely free from errors or security risks. We do not guarantee that every item of information will be complete, current or appropriate for every user. Nothing in this section removes any obligation we have to provide services with reasonable care and skill or affects your statutory rights.

Ask Remedy may refer to or integrate with information and services operated by third parties, such as official medicines-information providers, healthcare organisations or external websites. We do not control all third-party services and are not responsible for their availability, security or separate terms and privacy practices. The inclusion of a link does not necessarily mean that Ask Remedy endorses every statement, product or service available through that website.

Some Ask Remedy features may be provided as beta, pilot or pre-release services. These features may still be undergoing testing, contain errors or incomplete functionality, change during the pilot, or be withdrawn at the end of the testing period. Additional pilot, research-participant or organisational terms may apply. Where there is a conflict, the more specific written agreement will take priority for that pilot or service.

Subject to the above, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you began using the service, were caused by inaccurate or incomplete information provided by you, resulted from using Ask Remedy contrary to these terms or its instructions, or relate to business, commercial or professional use where you are using a consumer-facing service.
